Geography Overseas Field Class (L7024)

Geography Overseas Field Class

Module L7024

Module details for 2022/23.

30 credits

FHEQ Level 5

Module Outline

In year two, all single honours Geography students – optional for Geography joint honours students - get to take part in a field class, either overseas or a non-residential one in Sussex. We offer an extensive range of international field class destinations, with recent examples including China, the Greek islands, Los Angeles and the Mojave Desert. We keep our international field class provision under constant review; trips to new destinations are always being developed. The field class presents an opportunity for faculty to familiarise students with a location in which they themselves may conduct research and gives students the experience of carrying out their own research in that location.
