As we approach the end of Summer 2022 Graduation ceremonies here in Brighton, we would also like to celebrate the achievements of the first cohort of nearly 100 students completing their MSc programmes at the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Artificial Intelligence Institute, Zhejiang Gongshang University.
The academic performance of these students has been outstanding, with 63% of students achieving the highest classification of Distinction. Almost a third of students from this cohort have already been successful in entering employment with companies in the world-leading AI and Robotics industry in the Zhejiang region.
Other students are continuing to pursue further study, with two graduates from the MSc programmes having been awarded a prestigious Chinese Government Scholarship by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) to sponsor their study of a PhD degree at ßÏßÏÊÓƵ’s Falmer campus. Ten further students will be receiving other forms of support provided by the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ School of Engineering and Informatics and Zhejiang Gongshang University to pursue PhD study here at the Sussex.
We were delighted to record with some of these outstanding students reflecting on their experience of studying at the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Artificial Intelligence Institute, and look forward to their further success in the future.
Unfortunately it has not yet been possible to hold an in-person graduation ceremony for students at the Zhejiang Gongshang University campus in Hangzhou, due to local Covid restrictions on large public gatherings, but we look forward to this first cohort being able to join us at a graduation ceremony that is being planned for Spring 2023.
