Turner Prize 2023 events arrive on campus

The doors to the Turner Prize 2023 exhibition are now open at Towner Eastbourne until April 2024. As the official Education Partner, the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ are hosting a series of public events on campus to bring the prize to life for staff, students and everyone in the region. Introduction to the Turner Prize, Tuesday 17 October at 6.30pm
Professor Ben Burbridge (Art History, ßÏßÏÊÓƵ) and Joe Hill (Director, Towner Eastbourne) will be in conversation giving an informal and accessible introduction to the history of the Turner Prize and to the work of this year's shortlisted artists.
All ßÏßÏÊÓƵ staff, students and alumni are eligible for £3 concession priced tickets to the event (all events will be live captioned and BSL interpreted).
The event series will run from autumn 2023 into spring 2024 featuring ßÏßÏÊÓƵ academics, Turner exhibition curators, and those who have won the prize. We will be welcoming two ßÏßÏÊÓƵ alumni back to campus; sociology graduate, artist Helen Cammock (joint winner of 2019 Turner Prize), and Jeremy Deller, who holds an MA in British Art History and Critical Theory, (who won the Turner Prize in 2004).
