To mark the beginning of the academic year, we’ve launched a new campaign to highlight the work of some of ßÏßÏÊÓƵ’s remarkable people. This Is US is a celebration of students, academics and alumni alike, and focuses on the incredible contributions they have made to science, the arts, and society, both here at ßÏßÏÊÓƵ and across the wider world.

Vibrant new banners have been attached to lampposts along the major walkways around campus, each featuring someone with an interesting story to tell. You might recognise a few familiar faces, such as BBC journalist Clive Myrie, or perhaps some of our pioneering academics working in fields such as quantum technology, bioplastics or international development.

Each banner includes a QR code that passersby can scan to find out more about the person featured. We hope that our campus community find the campaign both welcoming and inspiring, a true reflection of the values and people that make our University so fantastic.
