The Carl and Bobbie Love Letters
This winter Mass Observation invites you to join us in hearing the Story of Carl and Bobbie, told through their own letters. Carl and Bobbie met at a tea hosted for American officers station in Dunmow during WWII. Their letters cover the time from when they met, their romance, marriage and relocation to America, up to the birth of their first child in 1947 providing insight into life and love during wartime. Attendees will able to hear readings from the collection, as well as view original archival material.
