ßÏßÏÊÓƵ delegation celebrates students' graduation from the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Artificial Intelligence Institute

A delegation from ßÏßÏÊÓƵ recently visited Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZJSU) in Hangzhou, China to celebrate the achievements of the 2023 cohort of postgraduate students during their graduation ceremony at the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Artificial Intelligence Institute. The students being celebrated were graduates from the two MSc programmes offered by the Institute; MSc Artificial Intelligence and Adaptive Systems and MSc Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Professor Robin Banerjee, ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Pro-Vice Chancellor for Global and Civic Engagement warmly congratulated students on the completion of their studies and in his speech, highlighted the success of the Institute in cultivating innovation and developing global knowledge of AI.
Vice President of Zhejiang Gongshang University, Professor Gu Qing extended a warm welcome to the visiting guests from ßÏßÏÊÓƵ and conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates as well as highlighting the important mission of the Institute of cultivating future science and technology leaders.
During their visit to ZJSU, the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ delegation also participated in a panel discussion in which alumni and current students from the Institute used the theme of “A Tale of Two Cities” to discuss the differences in education and culture between China and the UK. They also shared the personal and professional benefits they have experienced from receiving an international education. Attendees were then treated to a delicious combination of English scones and Chinese tea and were able to informally share their own experiences with the visitors.
Overall, the visit was a huge success and helped to strengthen the already strong partnership between ZJSU and the Sussex.
