No, it is not possible to install devices or software onto a student PC.
The reason for this is that new devices and software need to be installed by a user with administrative rights; this is typically because the software needs to write to protected areas of the disk which the operating system will not allow.
The student PCs have to be set up in a robust and resilient way as they are used by many people each day. Installing software in an uncontrolled way brings risks that, unintentionally, may make the PC unusable.
