How do I change to double-spacing, except for a selected passage?


Microsoft Word 2013

  1. Select the whole document:
    Either press Ctrl + A
    or
    From the Home tab, Editing group, click the down arrow on the Select icon, click Select All
  2. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Line Spacing.

  3. Click 2.0 to double-space

 

Then:

  1. Select the paragraph(s) which you want to change to single-space
  2. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Line Spacing
  3. In the Line Spacing box, select 1.0 to single-space
