Yes. Your IT Services account will remain open while you are on your year abroad.
If you have access to the Internet at your overseas location then you should be able to keep in contact. You can read any email sent to your ßÏßÏÊÓƵ email address, using the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ webmail at
