I am leaving, can I get a refund of any money on my Printing Account I have not used?

IT Services does not refund unused printer credit where the amount is £5 or less, but you can transfer your print account balance to another person.  Please note that credit earned by completing surveys or participating in other activities at the University cannot be refunded.

Transferring your print account balance to another person

You might consider transferring your remaining balance to another person's print account.   All you need to do is 'sell' your unused credit to that other person, and then transfer the correct amount to their printing account, as described below:

1. Login to the service using your normal ßÏßÏÊÓƵ username and password.
2. In the left hand column, click on Transfers.
3. Enter the amount of money to transfer, and the username of you'd like to transfer the money to (for example, ano23), then click on Transfer. MAKE SURE you enter the correct username! If you transfer to the wrong username, you won't be able to undo the transfer.
4. In the left hand column, click on Transaction History to see the record of the transfer.

For amounts greater than £5, please contact IT Services Online Support either by completing the online request form or by emailing us at itservicedesk@sussex.ac.uk.   Please provide the following information in your request:

• your reasons for requesting a refund
• the amount required
• whether you had credited your account by credit card or directly with cash.  Please DO NOT disclose your credit card details in your request.

If we are able to make a refund, we will make the appropriate arrangements either to credit your card account or we will arrange with you to call in to collect a refund form from our IT Service Desk in Shawcross.  You can then get a refund from the Cashiers Office in ßÏßÏÊÓƵ House.
