Vickie Sheriff: Executive Director of Communications, Engagement and Advancement
Background
Vickie joined the University in July 2024, moving from the University of Surrey where she was Director of Communications and Marketing.
Vickie has extensive experience in executive and senior communications and marketing roles in the corporate, charity and government sectors, including working at Imperial College London, Which?, Heathrow, the British Red Cross and the Department for Transport. During her time in government communications, Vickie led the Downing Street press office under two separate Prime Ministers.
As our Director of Communications, Engagement and Advancement, Vickie oversees a large team delivering the University’s communications, marketing, digital and creative media, public affairs, student recruitment and admissions, international recruitment, development and alumni relations, global engagement and widening participation.
Vickie is a member of both the University Executive Team and the Professional Services Leadership Team.
