How to get to the venue
Graduation ceremonies take place at the Brighton Centre. Find out how to get there.

The Brighton Centre is situated on Brighton seafront in King’s Road.

Entrance
Students and their guests enter using the doors at the front of the venue.
VIPs and people working at the event should use the VIP entrance in Russell Road at the back of the venue.
Getting to the Brighton Centre
You can reach the Brighton Centre in several ways.
We recommend, where possible, making your way to the venue using public transport as car parking can be expensive. If you’re travelling from far away, try parking outside the city centre and using public transport or walking.
Train
From Brighton Station in Queen’s Road it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Brighton Centre. Taxis and buses are available. There are fast trains from London and frequent direct services along the south coast from as far away as Hastings and Southampton.
Bus
If you’re travelling within the city, for full details about services towards the Brighton Centre. The nearest bus stops are at Churchill Square. You would then have to walk down West Street to the seafront. The Brighton Centre is on the right.
Coach
to Brighton terminate at the coach station in Pool Valley.
From here it is about eight-minute walk to the Brighton Centre:
- walk directly south towards the sea and on to King’s Road
- turn right and walk along the pavement westwards
- the Brighton Centre is on the right, usually festooned with graduation banners.
Car
If you plan to drive, allow plenty of time as routes into Brighton can get very busy at peak times.

From London and the North, the easiest way to get to Brighton is to use the M25 London orbital motorway.
For Brighton, take junction 7 southbound on to the M23, which becomes the A23 directly into Brighton. The road will continue through the city straight to Brighton seafront, where the Brighton Centre is located.
From the east and west, Brighton can be reached using the A27. This is the easiest route. Leave the A27 via the A23 turn-off (signposted Brighton), take the third exit on the first roundabout and first exit on the second roundabout. This takes you on to London Road and directly into Brighton. The road will continue through the city straight to the seafront.
Parking in Brighton & Hove
Aside from potential traffic delays, driving will mean using a car park. This can be expensive, especially if you want to stay for the whole day.
