Kindness UK Doctoral Conference Award - apply by 30th January

Applications are now being accepted for the 2016-17 Kindness UK Doctoral Conference Award scheme.

Kindness UK Logo

is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fostering kindness throughout society, and works with the University to promote research from any academic discipline that illuminates kindness and its effects on people and communities. Kindness UK would like to support dissemination of relevant research which illuminates kindness and its effect on people and communities, by doctoral researchers at national or international conferences.

As kindness is understood to take many forms, doctoral researchers working across all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Relevant research could involve work on a very wide range of issues, including (but certainly not restricted to):

  • Medical and social care services
  • Business practices
  • Educational initiatives and strategies
  • Pro-environmental attitudes and behaviours
  • Supportive scientific advances, technologies, and products
  • Legal/justice practices and political activities
  • International aid and development work
  • Developments in the arts and the media.

Funding is available up to a maximum of £1,000 per student to cover accommodation, travel, and conference registration costs in the form of reimbursement.
