Statement of public task
Our statement of public task as defined by the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations 2015
Overview
This statement sets out the functions carried out by the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Library that are within our public task under the (the “2015 Regulations”)
The public task of the library is articulated in its Strategic Plan.
The library undertakes selective digitisation of items in its collections and facilitates re-use wherever copyright law, data protection and the availability of funding allow. The library does not have a dedicated budget for digitisation, so is reliant on charging fees for the digitisation, supply, and licensing of content to meet those costs.
Information available for re-use
ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Library material, which falls within the public task and therefore is potentially available for re-use can be located as follows:
- Information resources in various formats searchable via Library search
- Digitised material and original material from Special Collections available from The Keep catalogue
Only material that is out of copyright or copyright of the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ is potentially available for re-use. Please note that this accounts for only a small proportion of the information resources held by the library.
