Biography

Very much a Brightonian, my father's family have a long history of living in Brighton and Hove. I moved briefly to Wales for my Undergraduate degree in Egyptology and Anthropology. For my Bachelor's, much of my focus was on myth, religion and society, but I am also very interested in evolutionary biology, human and animal development. I worked at the Egypt Centre on funerary artifacts (and demonstrating mummification) as an Undergraduate and now, back in Brighton, I help out Brighton and Hove Museums' Trust at Preston Manor.

When not at work I spend most of my time studying and around animals, and I have experience of (and a passion for!) exotic animals, particularly rodents. I am teaching myself the fundamentals of veterinary medicine, interdispersed with the odd book about the development of New Orleans and Voodou!

Role

Amy has worked in the Business School just over two years, alongside the Course Director for the MBA, overseeing the organisation and operations of the ßÏßÏÊÓƵ MBA. The move to the Business School follows many years working in Postgraduate Admissions. However, Amy's real interest lies in history, archaeology, evolution and animal behaviour and health.
