30 credits, Level 7 (Masters)
Spring teaching
Social sciences have long taken childhood and youth into account; however, these were often based on adult's views on children. More recently, these have shifted to an engagement with children's own perspectives and practices in the contemporary world.
Topics covered in this module include:
- young people in the context of play and labour
- children’s bodies
- spaces and mobilities
- children's experiences of, and responses to violence.
You'll engage with theoretical discussions and ethnographic material from cultures and societies across the world.
