45 credits, Level 5
All year
On this module, you'll complete a 70 day placement and attend practice development workshops and group reflection sessions, designed to help connect theory to practice.

Key experiences during this module include:

- practicing within organisational policies, structures, and processes, aligned with relevant social work legislation
- regular supervision, support, and guidance from a designated Practice Educator, who is a qualified social worker experienced in work-based learning and assessment
- purposeful reflection on the process and content of practice, linking direct practice, theoretical learning, and research
- practicing independently while knowing when to seek advice and supervision
- timely, honest, and constructive feedback on your practice, including direct observations by the practice teacher or assessor, and feedback from service users
