Autumn and spring teaching

On this module, you'll build on and enhance key course aims, while also focusing on improving your employability. 

This module plays a critical role in contextualising your learning, developing new skills, and creating opportunities for future employment, while supporting your personal development into the fourth year and beyond.

This module combines academic qualifications with demonstrated motivation, applied intelligence and energy over a 48-week period, potentially leading to future employment opportunities.

Where possible, particularly in fields such as marketing, accountancy, and HRM, you’ll be encouraged to become a student member of a relevant professional institute, incorporating aspects of professional development into your learning experience.

70%: Written assessment (Project, Report)

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 1200 hours of work. This breaks down into about 8 hours of contact time and about 1192 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2024/25. However, there may be changes to these modules in response to feedback, staff availability, student demand or updates to our curriculum.
