Postgraduate researchers (PGRs) should contact the Research and Enterprise Co-ordinator (REC) in their School to discuss arrangements for intermission, fieldwork, thesis submission and examination before contacting the Research Student Administration Office.

ßÏßÏÊÓƵ Researcher School (SRS)

The SRS has a collaborative, University-wide role to help realise the University’s research strategy and wider strategic plans, which includes:

  • Liaison with external funding and policy bodies such as Research Councils
  • Managing bids and awards for postgraduate researcher (PGR) training and skills development for both faculty and PGRs
  • Managing PGR scholarships 
  • Managing the Researcher Development Programme
  • Working closely with other institutions, businesses, governments and civil society organisations to enhance the student experience and research environment
  • Providing our PGRs with the confidence and skills they need to become world-class researchers and communicators
  • Promoting the contribution of postgraduate research  to academia, the economy and society as a whole, both on a national and international scale.
