Riccardo D'Emidio
What is your PhD about?
My Phd explore the role of social norms in driving and shaping perceptions of corruption and integrity in the Police Service in Ghana. Using a set of tools emerging from social psychology my research questions different theoretical frameworks used to analyse anti-corruption and corruption by examining the social dimensions of corruption.
Why did you choose ßÏßÏÊÓƵ / CSC?
I chose CSC because it was the only research centre exclusively dedicated to the study of corruption. When I reached out to enquire about a possible PhD I had a great exchange with my supervisors.
What were you doing before you started your PhD?
I was an international consultant working in international development and anti-corruption.
Do you have any advice for someone considering a PhD?
Choose your topic well!
You end up spending so much time on your own research project, so it is really important to make sure you identify a research question and issue that you are passionate about.
